Youth Ministry

6th - 12th Grade

There are many ways for youth to be involved at St. Stephen's from Acolyte to Usher!

For weekly youth specific activities Jr. High and High School students are invited to attend ONE Student Ministry. ONE is an ecumenically diverse youth group that meets 6:30-8:30 pm every Wednesday and 6:00-8:00 pm every Sunday in the Wesley Methodist Youth Room.

Diocesan Youth Events

Diocesan events such as Happening for High School students and Summer Camp are great fun and take place at Camp Allen.

The Happening Experience

A group of six young people, five women and one man, posing outdoors around a small memorial plaque on the ground, with trees and a pond in the background, during daytime.
Three women outdoors on a paved surface, holding hands and balancing each other in a horizontal line, with trees and overcast sky in the background.

Happening is a youth-led weekend of renewal and affirmation where participants delve into thought-provoking questions about life, faith and spirituality with their peers in a small group setting with plenty of play and chill time. As the weekend unfolds, we discover what connection and community can look like when we let go of the world’s expectations and allow God’s unconditional love to change, well, everything.

Camp Allen

Since 1921, Camp Allen has been providing kids with the best week of their lives! Located one hour northwest of Houston, Camp Allen offers week long residential camp sessions for ages 8-16. Camp Allen is the largest Episcopal summer camp program in the nation and welcomes over 2,000 campers annually. The heart of Camp Allen has been to love God and make Him known. We believe and hope that by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, our campers will see the depth of His love for us. Our staff models that love by facilitating fun opportunities for authentic friendships in a Christ-centered community.
