St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Beaumont, Texas, welcomes Igbo-speaking people to our Igbo Service of Holy Eucharist, celebrated entirely in the Igbo language.

Led by The Rev. Emmanuel Onyemaobi, our Igbo Service is a place where people can gather for worship, prayer, and fellowship in the language of their hearts.

Our Igbo Service offers an opportunity to celebrate the Holy Eucharist entirely in Igbo and to worship alongside others who share a connection to the Igbo language and Christian faith.

You do not need to be Episcopalian to attend. Whether you have been part of the Episcopal or Anglican tradition for years, are visiting a church for the first time, or are simply looking for an Igbo-speaking Christian community, you are welcome here.

What to Expect

The Igbo Service of Holy Eucharist follows the tradition of Christian worship centered on the Holy Eucharist, with the entire service conducted in Igbo.

You can expect a welcoming congregation, Scripture, prayer, preaching, and the celebration of Holy Communion.

If you have never attended an Episcopal service before, don't worry. You are welcome to come as you are. Our hope is that you will feel comfortable, welcomed, and at home.
