ACOLYTES
Anyone can serve as an acolyte. Please speak to Steven if you would like to learn to serve as candle lighters and bearers of the cross during worship, and to understand the importance of those acts and symbols to our faith.
ALTAR GUILD
A volunteer group of the parish whose ministry is to care for the altar, vestments, vessels, and altar linens of the parish. Altar Guild members prepare the sanctuary for services, and clean up afterwards.
ANGELS ON ASSIGNMENT/LAY PASTORAL CARE TEAM
These laypeople are trained and commissioned for pastoral care of our members, serving as Christ's hands and feet to bring the love of St. Stephen's out to those in need of it and taking Holy Communion to the sick and homebound.
DAUGHTERS OF THE KING
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God’s love throughout the world.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Our Eucharistic Ministers - persons who are licensed by the bishop to administer the elements - assist our clergy each Sunday in observing Holy Eucharist.
Lectors
A lay person who reads lessons or leads the prayers of the people. The term is from the Latin, “to read.” There is no license required for this lay ministry. A lector may also be known as a reader.
Usher/Greeter
A person who helps ensure a smoothly running service and ministers to people in a variety of practical ways.
